Pool & garden

Around 29 degrees,
and yours alone.

The pool is private : no other holidaymakers share it. Swim at seven in the morning or as evening falls2, when the palm trees are lit and the garrigue has finally fallen quiet. The owners live on the property and may be nearby — discreetly, and always available.

An 8 × 4 metre pool, designed with two depths — 1.10 m and 1.40 m — for swimming, pedalling or simply floating. The aquabike goes in and out of the water in a moment, whenever anyone fancies it.

The pool is open from 15 April to 15 October. In 2027 it opens early for the Easter weekend, from Friday 26 March. Out of season it is closed and covered — the studio itself stays open all year round.

We have signed the “Oasis Nature” charter of the association Biodiversité & Humanité, as a mark of our commitment to the living world. The garden is tended in that spirit.

  1. 1. The heat pump aims for 29°C and regulates the pool all season, including in high summer to stop it overheating. This is not a guaranteed temperature : late in the season, wind chill can take a few degrees off. The pool is open from 15 April to 15 October; in the event of bad weather, or for any obvious safety reason, the hosts may keep it closed for part of the day.
  2. 2. Swimming from 8 am to 8 pm. Outside those hours the pool is covered for safety whenever it is unsupervised. An evening swim is still possible : just ask your hosts.

The off-season
and its 500 m² of open ground

When the holidaymakers leave, the Clos changes pace. We then open our adjoining land — a flat field of about 500 m², right beside the property — to those who travel with equipment : a horsebox, a lorry, a van, a bike trailer. Room to manoeuvre, quiet, and a real bed at the end of the day.

Riders & horse owners

Horsebox, two-horse lorry or flatbed : the ground takes large vehicles and the room to turn them. You sleep on site, minutes from the garrigue bridleways, the riding centres of the Uzège and the Haras national d'Uzès.

Cyclists, triathletes & trail runners

Van, bike rack or trailer park without acrobatics. After the effort, the aquabike and the warm water of the pool make an excellent recovery session, right through to mid-October.

Motorhomes, campervans & vans

Open space to park the vehicle rather than leave it on the roadside — and a real bathroom, a real kitchen, a real bed for the night.

Events, worksites & trade fairs

Grape harvest, the Uzès festivals, fairs, film shoots, exhibitions : if your stay involves a utility vehicle, a trailer or bulky equipment, the space exists. Simply mention it when booking.

Around the Clos

Uzès seven kilometres away,
the rest within easy reach.

The house sits among fields and vineyards, facing the hills. In summer the sunflowers grow right up to the gate. And yet the Saturday morning market on the place aux Herbes is only a quarter of an hour away.

A small town with an international name

Uzès owes its reputation to its architecture, its cultural life and its markets — Wednesday and Saturday mornings. The town has long drawn artists and craftspeople, and more recently a wave of young chefs: you eat remarkably well here for a place this size.

All around, old villages are within reach on foot, by bike or by car, through the vineyards. And the whole of Provence fits inside an hour's drive.

Things to do
all around

The Uzège is a quiet playground : empty back roads, a river, limestone cliffs and garrigue as far as the eye can see. And from September to June, the 500 m² plot lets you arrive with all your kit.

Road cycling & mountain biking

The back roads of the Uzège, the Duché vineyards, and Mont Bouquet for stronger legs.

Hiking & trail running

Garrigue paths, dry-stone capitelles and the ridges above the Gorges du Gardon.

Horse riding

Several riding centres around Uzès, and bridleways heading straight out into the garrigue.

Canoeing & kayaking

Paddle down the Gardon from Collias, between cliffs and clear pools. The perfect half-day.

Rock climbing

The limestone faces of the Gorges du Gardon, at Collias and Russan : hundreds of routes, all year round.

Aquabike & recovery

On site from April to October, the aquabike in water at around 29°C. The best recovery bath after a hard day.
