Privacy & cookies

What we collect, why, for how long — and how to take back control.

In short. This site sets no advertising cookies and sells no data. One single audience measurement tool is offered, Google Analytics, and it only runs if you accept it. The information you send us is used solely to handle your booking request.

Who processes your data

The data controller is the owner of Le Clos d'Icelle, in Serviers-et-Labaume (30700), France. Full contact details are in the legal notice. For any question about your data, you can write to him directly.

Cookies

A cookie is a small file placed on your device when you visit a site. Here is exactly what this site does:

NameRoleSetDuration
clos-icelle-consent Remembers whether you accepted or declined audience measurement, so you are not asked again Always (local storage, exempt from consent) Until cleared
_ga, _ga_* Google Analytics: distinguishes visitors and measures traffic Only after you accept 13 months

Until you click “Accept”, no Google script is loaded: the request is not even sent. If you decline, nothing is stored and the site works exactly the same.

You can change your mind at any time: change my cookie preferences.

Fonts and third-party services

Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which involves a connection to a Google server and the transmission of your IP address. No data is stored on your device in the process and no cookie is set.

When you click “Request a booking”, you are taken to our booking engine, which applies its own privacy policy. Likewise, a booking made through Airbnb or Booking is governed by those platforms' policies.

Security

The site is served exclusively over HTTPS. It is entirely static: there is no database and no online administration area, which greatly reduces the risk of intrusion. Strict security headers limit which scripts may run and prevent the site being displayed inside a third-party frame.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation and the French Data Protection Act, you have the following rights:

To exercise these rights, write to the owner (details in the legal notice). You will receive a reply within one month. If you believe your rights are not being respected, you may lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL.

Policy updated on 21 August 2026.
